Configuring BGP load balancing If multiple BGP routes with the same AS_PATH, ORIGIN, LOCAL_PREF, and MED attributes to a destination exist, you can use the balance command to enable load balancing over these ECMP routes and specify the maximum number of ECMP routes. To configure the maximum number of ECMP routes (IPv4): Step 1. Enter system view. 2. Enter BGP view or BGP-VPN instance view. 3. Enter BGP IPv4 unicast instance view or BGP-VPN IPv4 unicast instance view. 4. Configure the maximum number of ECMP routes for load balancing.
