Wireless discovery troubleshooting Use this section to solve problems with wireless networks that have an access point. The computer is unable to discover the HP all-in-one Cause Your cables are not connected properly. Solution Check the following cables to ensure they are connected properly: ● Power cords to the HP all-in-one and the router ● Cables between the router and your computer (if applicable) ● Cables to and from your modem or HP all-in-one Internet connection (if applicable) Cause The network connection is not active. Solution Check to see if you have an active network connection. To make sure your network connection is active 1 Check the radio on light on the front of your HP all-in-one. If the light is solid blue, the wireless radio is on. This light does not indicate whether or not the HP all-in-one is connected to the network. 2 If the wireless radio is on, check the color graphics display to see if the wireless network icon is active. Network icon The icon on the left shows an active wireless network. The icon on the right shows an inactive wireless network. If the wireless network icon is not active, make sure all cable connections are secure. This includes connections from your cable or DSL modem, gateway, or router. 3 If the HP all-in-one is connected to the network, check the signal strength on the wireless network icon to make sure there is a strong signal. 4 If the network light is off, check cable connections from the HP all-in-one to your gateway or router to ensure connections are secure. 5 If the connections are secure, press the On button to turn off the HP all-inone, and then press it again to turn it on. The computer is unable to discover the HP all-in-one
Cause
Your cables are not connected properly.
Solution
Check the following cables to ensure they are connected properly:
Power cords to the HP all-in-one and the router
Cables between the router and your computer (if applicable)

applicable)

To make sure your network connection is active
