Usually these are kept on separate subnets within an installation. To perform full remote administration of the server, access is required to both networks. There are three general scenarios to manage this connectivity issue: 1) Keep the networks completely isolated, and manage management and OS tasks separately. 2) Enable routing between the two networks by enabling a system on either network to access the other and do simultaneous management and OS tasks. 3) Block routing between networks, but allow a third network, or possibly just specific servers, access to route to both networks. This allows simultaneous management and OS tasks to be completed, but from specific locations. This option provides network isolation, but also allows full remote administration. 6

Network Connectivity
HP Integrity servers have both management network and production interfaces. Usually these are kept on
