printing materials and hp designjet printers hp designjet 5500 series welcome how do I ... tell me about ... the problem is ... legal notices glossary index printing materials and hp designjet printers Hewlett-Packard manufactures a variety of printing materials for use in HP Designjet printers (see supported printing materials). These materials are manufactured to print consistently and correctly with the Designjet series of machines. It is very important that standard printing materials are not used in the Designjet printers, as they are not designed for ink-jet colorants, and will cause the resulting print to be unacceptable. Selecting a printing material in the HP Printer dialog box not only sets the color characteristics of the material and printer, but establishes other important parameters for printing that affect the quality of the resulting print. These parameters include total ink coverage values, the number of passes of the print heads, and speed of travel for the ink head assembly. Be sure that the printing material selection you are making is the correct one for the material being used. © 2002 hewlett-packard company file:///C|/Documents%20and%20Settings/---/Desktop/HP/html/C000-75.htm [8/5/2002 2:23:22 PM]
