WWAN module (select models only) The WWAN module is available on select models only. Description WWAN module, HP LT4210 LTE/HSPA+ with GPS (includes gasket and Mylar screw/POGO cover) WWAN connector gasket (includes WWAN connector gasket and Mylar screw/POGO cover) Spare part number L15398-005 L14792-001 Before removing the WWAN module, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the tablet. 3. Disconnect the power from the tablet by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the tablet. 4. Remove the display panel assembly (see Display assembly on page 32). 5. Remove the Mylar shield (see Mylar shield (WWAN models only) on page 37). 6. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 40). Remove the WWAN module: 1. Remove the gasket from of top of the WWAN module (1). 2. Disconnect the WWAN antenna cables (2) from the terminals on the WWAN module. NOTE: The red WWAN antenna cable is connected to the WWAN module 'Main' terminal. The blue WWAN antenna cable is connected to the WWAN module 'Aux' terminal. 3. Remove the Phillips M2.0×2.0 screw (3) that secures the WWAN module to the computer. Before removing the WWAN module, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is
off
or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the tablet.
3.
Disconnect the power from the tablet by
first
unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the tablet.
4.
Remove the display panel assembly (see
Display assembly
on page
32
).
5.
Remove the Mylar shield (see
Mylar shield (WWAN models only)
on page
37
).
6.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see
Battery
on page
40
).
Remove the WWAN module:
1.
Remove the gasket from of top of the WWAN module
(1)
.
2.
Disconnect the WWAN antenna cables
(2)
from the terminals on the WWAN module.
NOTE:
The red WWAN antenna cable is connected to the WWAN module ‘Main’ terminal. The blue
WWAN antenna cable is connected to the WWAN module ‘Aux’ terminal.
3.
Remove the Phillips M2.0×2.0 screw
(3)
that secures the WWAN module to the computer. (The edge of
the module opposite the slot rises away from the computer.)
