Audio jack and cable Description Audio jack and cable (includes Mylar screw/POGO cover, bottom thermal Mylar, side thermal Mylar, and thermal grease) Spare part number L14769-001 Before removing the audio jack, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the tablet. 3. Disconnect the power from the tablet by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the tablet. 4. Remove the display panel assembly (see Display assembly on page 32). 5. Remove the Mylar shield (see Mylar shield (WWAN models only) on page 37). 6. Disconnect the battery (see Battery on page 40). Remove the audio jack: 1. Disconnect the audio jack cable from the system board (1). 2. Peel the cable off the tablet (2). (The cable is secured to the tablet with adhesive.) 3. Remove the audio jack and cable from the tablet (3). Reverse this procedure to install the audio jack. Component replacement procedures 57

Before removing the audio jack, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is
off
or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on,

2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the tablet.
3.
Disconnect the power from the tablet by
first
unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the tablet.
4.

5.
Remove the Mylar shield (see

).
6.
Disconnect the battery (see
Battery
on page
40
).
Remove the audio jack:
1.
Disconnect the audio jack cable from the system board

2.
Peel the cable
off
the tablet
(2)
. (The cable is secured to the tablet with adhesive.)
3.
Remove the audio jack and cable from the tablet
(3)
.
Reverse this procedure to install the audio jack.
