Verify that the distance between the sensor transmitter and receiver is 40 ±2 mm. 7. Verify that the distance from the sensor transmitter/receiver to the substrate foil is 7 mm. 8. At the UI, calibrate the splice detection sensor. 9. Open the electronics cabinet and install a keypad on drive FP. 10. Go to address 19.34 and start to print. 11. During printing, insert a piece of paper under the sensor. 12. Observe if FP address 19.34 changes to 1 (splice detected). 13. If FP address 19.34 remains 0, do the following: a. Open the bridge door and verify 24 V on the sensor connector between pins 5 and 1 (splice signal from sensor to WHS). b. If there is no 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 1, replace the sensor. c. If there is 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 1, then in the electronics cabinet, verify 24 V on cable W2505 connector between pins 5 and 1. d. If there is no 24 V on cable W2505 connector between pins 5 and 1, check continuity. Replace cable W2505 if there is any malfunction. e. If there is 24 V on cable W2505 connector between pins 5 and 1, verify that FP drive address 19.34 is 1. f. If FP drive address 19.34 is 0, disconnect pin 27 and check continuity on cable W2508. Replace cable W2508 if there is any malfunction. g. If FP drive address 19.34 is 1, install WHS software on drive FP. h. Shut down CB21, wait 5 second, and then turn it on. i. If there is no 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 1, replace the sensor.
c.
If there is 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 1, then in the electronics cabinet,
verify 24 V on cable W2505 connector between pins 5 and 1.
d.
If there is no 24 V on cable W2505 connector between pins 5 and 1, check continuity. Replace
cable W2505 if there is any malfunction.
e.
If there is 24 V on cable W2505 connector between pins 5 and 1, verify that FP drive address
19.34 is 1.
f.
If FP drive address 19.34 is 0, disconnect pin 27 and check continuity on cable W2508. Replace
cable W2508 if there is any malfunction.
g.
If FP drive address 19.34 is 1, install WHS software on drive FP.
h.
Shut down CB21, wait 5 second, and then turn it on.
i.
If FP address 19.34 remains 1 and the problem is not resolved, replace drive FP.
