Calibration fails (signal from sensor to WHS)

Page 44 highlights

Calibration fails (signal from sensor to WHS) Follow these steps for calibration fails. 1. Clean the detection sensor with a dry cloth. 2. Verify that there are no wrinkling in the substrate. 3. Verify that the substrate thickness is between 12 and 400 micron. 4. For a reinsertion job, verify that fewer than 4 separations are printed on the scanned substrate. 5. Verify that the distance between the sensor transmitter and receiver is 40 ±2 mm. 6. Verify that the distance from the sensor transmitter/receiver to the substrate foil is 7 mm. 7. Open the bridge door and verify 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 6 (calibration signal from sensor to WHS). 8. If there is 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 6, do the following: a. Open the electronics cabinet and verify 24 V on the sensor connector between pins 5 and 6 (calibration signal from sensor to WHS). b. If there is 24 V on cable W2508 connector between pins 5 and 6, disconnect the connector and check continuity between cable W2508 pin 6 and IBS1 drive pin 24. Replace cable W2508 if there is any malfunction. c. If cable W2508 wiring is OK, install WHS software on drive IBS1, shut down CB21, wait 5 second, and then turn it on. d. If the issue is not resolved, replace IBS1 drive. 9. If there is no 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 6 : a. Start to print and verify 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 3 (calibration request signal from WHS to sensor). b. If there is 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 3, replace the sensor. c. If there is no 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 3, open the electronics cabinet and verify 24 V on cable W2508 connector between pins 5 and 3. d. If there is 24 V on cable W2508 connector between pins 5 and 3, disconnect the connector and check continuity between cable W2508 pin 3 and IBS1 drive pin 24. Replace cable W2508 if there is any malfunction. e. If cable W2508 wiring is OK, install WHS software on drive IBS1, shut down CB21, wait 5 second, and then turn it on. f. If the issue is not resolved, replace IBS1 drive. 42 Chapter 4 Troubleshooting

Calibration fails (signal from sensor to WHS)
Follow these steps for calibration fails.
7.
Open the bridge door and verify 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 6 (calibration signal
from sensor to WHS).
8.
If there is 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 6, do the following:
a.
Open the electronics cabinet and verify 24 V on the sensor connector between pins 5 and 6
(calibration signal from sensor to WHS).
b.
If there is 24 V on cable W2508 connector between pins 5 and 6, disconnect the connector
and check continuity between cable W2508 pin 6 and IBS1 drive pin 24. Replace cable W2508
if there is any malfunction.
c.
If cable W2508 wiring is OK, install WHS software on drive IBS1, shut down CB21, wait 5
second, and then turn it on.
d.
If the issue is not resolved, replace IBS1 drive.
9.
If there is no 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 6 :
a.
Start to print and verify 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 3 (calibration request
signal from WHS to sensor).
b.
If there is 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 3, replace the sensor.
c.
If there is no 24 V on sensor connector between pins 5 and 3, open the electronics cabinet and
verify 24 V on cable W2508 connector between pins 5 and 3.
d.
If there is 24 V on cable W2508 connector between pins 5 and 3, disconnect the connector
and check continuity between cable W2508 pin 3 and IBS1 drive pin 24. Replace cable W2508
if there is any malfunction.
