Chapter 2 Installing the HCRX/VME Graphics Hardware This chapter describes how to install the HCRX/VME graphics option hardware. Before beginning the hardware installation, you must complete the tasks in Chapter 1. The tasks for installing the graphics option hardware are as follows: • Remove the single board computer (SBC). • Remove option boards, if installed. • For Model 743 SBC, install new Boot ROM, if required. • Install front panel expansion plate, if needed. • Install HCRX/VME board. • Install a blank cover. • Reinstall option board. • Replace the single board computer. • Connect the monitor. CAUTION: The HCRX/VME graphics board is susceptible to damage due to electrostatic discharge. When handling your graphics option board, always wear the static-grounding wrist strap that came in the kit. Always handle printed circuit boards carefully. 2-1

This chapter describes how to install the HCRX/VME graphics option hardware. Before
beginning the hardware installation, you must complete the tasks in Chapter 1. The tasks
for installing the graphics option hardware are as follows:
