Replacing an Optical Drive

Note: The second screw (A) is on the other side of the drive cage (not pictured). 7 Pull the diskette drive out. To install a new diskette drive: 1 Slide the diskette drive into the drive cage, until the screw holes align. 2 Attach the screws on each side of the drive cage. To reassemble the computer: 1 Replace the drive cage (see "Replacing the Drive Cage" on page 20). 2 Reattach the cables to the back of the hard and diskette drives. 3 Replace the side panel (see "Replacing the Side Panel" on page 23). 4 Reconnect the power cord and all other cables. 5 Reconnect the modem/phone cable. 6 Turn on the computer and all peripherals. Pull the diskette drive out.
To install a new diskette drive:
