Power button board Description Power button board (includes power button board cable) Spare part number 443153-001 Before removing the power button board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power cord. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 29). 5. Remove the following components: a. Switch cover (see Switch cover on page 38) b. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 40) Remove the power button board: 1. Remove the Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screw (1) that secures the power button board to the computer. 2. Release the power button board (2) from the computer as far as the cables attached to the board allow. 3. Disconnect the speaker assembly cable (1) from the power button board. 4. Release the ZIF connector to which the power button board cable (2) is connected and disconnect the cable. 42 Chapter 4 Removal and replacement procedures

Before removing the power button board, follow these steps:

from the power button board.

Release the ZIF connector to which the power button board cable

is connected and disconnect
the cable.
