USB/power connector board Description USB/power connector board (includes USB/power connector board) Spare part number 431445-001 Before removing the USB/power connector board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power cord. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 29). 5. Remove the following components: a. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 30) b. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 36) c. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 40) d. Switch cover (see Switch cover on page 38) e. Display assembly (see Display assembly on page 44) f. Top cover (see Top cover on page 49) Remove the USB/power connector board: 1. Remove the two Phillips PM2.5×5.0 screws (1) that secure the USB/power connector board to the computer. 2. Release the USB/power connector board as far as the USB/power connector board (2) cable will allow. Component replacement procedures 53
