Settings Operating System Remote Support ROM Settings System Options Description Enter the operating system you are installing and the path name of the ISO image. These fields contain the same data as the Intelligent Provisioning Recommended Install, but are specific to the deployment for future redeployment. Not all source media types are supported for every operating system. Contains fields such as Remote Support, Local Remote Support Server, and Local Remote Support Server Port. You can disable Remote Support, or assign a remote IP address. Reset the ROM settings to default, change the Power Profile or Boot Order, enable SATA RAID, or enable Virtual Install Disk. Contains fields such as Interface language, Keyboard language, and Accept EULA. You can also enable or disable whether the F10 key boots Intelligent Provisioning during POST. This information is also entered in Intelligent Provisioning Preferences, but it does not need to match the Preferences section. Creating a deployment settings package To create a deployment settings package: 1. Navigate through the traits described in the previous tables. 2. Click Save. Enter a name and navigate to a USB key on which to save the deployment settings. The name cannot include spaces. Using an existing deployment settings package to configure a new server IMPORTANT: • Before using a deployment to install an OS, be sure that the drives and arrays are configured. • Do not interrupt the configuration process. To use an existing deployment settings package to configure multiple servers, use iO scripting or HP SIM. For more information, see the HP iLO 4 Scripting and Command Line Guide on the HP website (http://www.hp.com/go/ilo). To use an existing deployment settings package to configure a single server: 1. To use the deployment you just created, click Deploy. 2. To use a previously created deployment, insert the USB key containing the deployment. a. Save the deployment from the USB key to the local server. b. Select the deployment from the list, and click Deploy. c. Settings
Enter the operating system you are installing and the path name of the ISO image. These fields
