You have already been using your primary keyboard. • The primary keyboard lets you type in your home language. You typewriter automatically sets your primary keyboard to match the keybuttons on your typewriter. • Alternate keyboards let you type in other languages such as French, Spanish or special applications such as Library or Trilingual when used with the appropriate printwheel. Keyboard/Prints/he'll Identification Numbers Each printwheel for alternate keyboards contains characters other than those printed on your typewriter keybuttons. You can access characters of an alternate keyboard by typing a keyboard change called a keyboard Identification (ID) number. The keyboard ID la printed on all printwheels. When more than one set o/ numbers Is printed, the first number is the keyboard ID. for example, 001-008. The keyboard ID for the United States keyboard is 001 or 1.
