The computer remains in a suspended state until you enter the administrator password. 4. When you enter the administrator password, or if no administrator password has been set, the update diskette will continue to run, and you are given the option of enabling or disabling Enhanced Security. Your choice is automatically recorded in the System Security menu of the Configuration/Setup Utility program. Using Security Profile by Device Security Profile by Device enables you to control the level of security for the following: IDE controller (for example, hard disk drives): When the feature is set to Disable, all devices connected to the IDE controller are disabled and will not appear in the system configuration. Diskette Drive Access: When the feature is set to Disable, the diskette drive cannot be accessed. Diskette Write Protect: When the feature is set to Enable, all diskettes are treated as if write-protected. Setting Security Profile by Device also enables you to control which devices require a password before they start up.
