After running the Multiprocessor Upgrade Option program, you can use the following procedure to install a second microprocessor: 1. Read the instructions that come with the new microprocessor. 2. Remove the cover. See "Removing the cover and front bezel" on page 59. 3. See the system board label inside your computer for the location of the terminator and second microprocessor socket (second CPU). 4. Loosen the two screws holding the terminator card in the secondary microprocessor socket (see"Identifying parts on the system board" on page 61 ) and remove the terminator card from the second microprocessor socket. 5. Remove the microprocessor from its static-protective package and insert it into the guides. Push the microprocessor into the socket until it is properly seated. 6.
