2. Remove the screw and the appropriate expansion slot cover. 3. Touch the static-protective package containing the adapter to any unpainted metal surface in the computer; then, remove the adapter from the package. 4. Install the adapter and screw it into place. Adapters supported by your computer use Plug and Play technology, which enables the computer to automatically configure the adapter. For more information, see "Updating the computer configuration" on page 84.
