Connect all remaining external cables to the server; then, go to "Creating a scalable partition" on page 141 and follow the instructions for creating a scalable partition. Two stand-alone servers To cable two stand-alone servers to a single remote I/O enclosure complete the following steps. 1. Determine which server will be connected to port A of the remote I/O enclosure and which will be connected to port B. 2. Remove the protective covers from the connectors on the ends of the cables.
