I/O board This section shows the locations of items on the I/O board and contains information about removing and replacing the I/O board. Note: When replacing the I/O board, you must either update the system with the latest firmware or restore the pre-existing firmware that the customer provides on a diskette or CD image. Turn off the server (see "Turning off the server" on page 10) and disconnect all power cords and external cables. 2. Remove the PCI brick from the server (see "PCI brick" on page 158) and place it on a clean work surface. 3.
