7 CALL PROCEDURE I Group call When you use DSC for calling the desired ship's group, use "Group" menu. q Push [MODE SET] to select the DSC menu. w Rotate [CH] to select "Group" then push [ENT]. e Select the desired 9-digit group code, then push [ENT]. • Use [CH] to select the group code when the desired group is pre-programmed. ********* Group ******** ------- Group ID ------- ÇManual set Group-1 023456789 Group-2 023456788 Group-3 023456787 Group-4 023456786 Group-5 023456785 SEL OK • When "Manual set" is selected, enter the desired code (last 8 digits only) via the keypad. - The first digit "0 (zero)" is fixed for group code. ********* Group Group ID ------- 087654321 OK r Rotate [CH] to select the desired pre-programmed traffic frequency, or "Manual set" then push [ENT]. ✔ When the pre-programmed traffic frequency is selected, go to step y. ********* Group Traffic frequency --ÇManual set T: 4567.0kHz R: 4567.0kHz T:12345.0kHz R:12345.0kHz SEL OK IC-M802-1 IC-M802-2 t Enter the desired transmit and receive traffic frequency via the keypad, then push [ENT]. • One of the voice channel, such as Tx/Rx: 2082.5 kHz, 4146.0 kHz, should be used. ********* Group Traffic frequency --- TX:_2134.0kHz RX:_2134.0kHz SEL OK y Rotate [CH] to select the desired pre-programmed calling frequency, or "Manual set" then push [ENT]. ✔ When the pre-programmed call frequency is selected, go to step i. ********* Group Call frequency ---ÇManual set T: 2345.0kHz R: 2345.0kHz T: 2177.0kHz R: 2177.0kHz SEL OK IC-M802-1 SHIP u Enter the desired transmit and receive call frequency via the keypad, then push [ENT]. ********* Group Call frequency ---- TX:_2345.0kHz RX:_2345.0kHz SEL OK i The calling stand-by screen is displayed as follows, verify the calling condition then push and hold [CANCEL/CALL] for 1 sec. to transmit the group call. • Push and hold [ENT] for 1 sec. to store the calling condition into TX memory described in pages 23 and 43, if desired. ********* Group ******** --------- Call --------- To:087654321 Traffic:J3E T X 2 1 3 4. 0 k H z RX 2134.0kHz Call Freq:TX 2177.0kHz RX 2177.0kHz Call Write-Menu o After sending the call, the traffic frequency is selected automatically. < Traffic > RX J3E GPS Lat 34 34'N SP Lon135 34'E 12:34 Exit !0 Announce the following message to stations. - "The group name." - "This is .....
