You can also select environmentally friendly printer settings for saving paper and energy. The touch‑screen applications that came with your printer are: • Forms and Favorites Access frequently used forms and bookmarks with this application. Create your own index of forms, information sheets, and other materials you print often. The application works by linking the documents by their URL or Web sites. When you want to print a form, touch Forms and Favorites, touch the form you want, and then print. • Eco‑Settings Alter printer settings to save energy and paper with this application. When you select the Energy Eco‑Setting, the printer automatically conserves energy using a different Power Saver setting. When you select the Paper Eco‑Setting, the printer saves paper by printing on both sides of the paper. When you select the Energy/Paper Eco‑Setting, the printer uses all the settings for reducing your printer's impact on the environment. • Background and Idle Screen Make your own background and idle screens with this application. Your home screen displays the background, idle screen, and button icons of your choice. You can tailor your home screen to look a certain way and you can determine what icons show on the display. This way, you can show the icons you use most often and hide the others. • Showroom View the special features of your printer with this slide show application. Designed to acquaint users with the printer, the slide show highlights the efficient, paper‑saving, and sustainable solutions of your printer. You can set up and use the home screen applications by using the home screen buttons or the Embedded Web Server. To open the Embedded Web Server, type your printer IP address into the address field of your Web browser. If you do not know the IP address of the printer, then print a network setup page and locate the IP address in the TCP/IP section.
