4. From the interface selection list on the left side of the window, click the appropriate interface. 5. The procedure to configure the port which was chosen at step 4 will depend on the selected interface type. Please configure the port as shown below. USB 1. When you connect a printer and turn it on, the Plug and Play feature automatically starts the installation of the printer driver and creates a printer queue. 2. The printer queue for the selected printer model appears on the port configuration window. If you create a queue after the port configuration window has been opened, click the 'Refresh' button to display the new printer queue. 3. Select a displayed printer queue. If multiple printer queues are displayed, select the appropriate one. Ethernet If the IP address has been configured on your printer, input the IP address into the Ethernet Connection Settings. If the IP address has been configured on your printer and it is connected to the network, you can click the 'Search Network' button to show the discovered printer IP address list. This will only show printers on the same subnet as the discovering PC. You may choose the appropriate printer IP address from those shown on the list. If the IP address of your printer is not configured, you may click the 'Help - Printer can not be found' link to open the temporary IP address configuration window and configure the printer IP address, following the procedure shown in the window. When you have finished it, you can configure the IP address following either of the procedures above. - 67 -
