Creative focusing-Manual focus If Auto Focus is unable to focus, focus manually. 2, 3 1 Press the OK button. ● The focus mode selection menu appears. 2 Press on the Arrow pad to select MF. ● and the distance indicator appear on the control panel. 3 Press length. to select the focal 1, 4 ● The display will be magnified to make focusing easier. P F2.8 1/800 0.0 ● When the distance indicator is moved to less than 3.25 ft, the display will switch to a shorter 16ft 7 distance (3-15/16" to 3.25 ft). 6.6ft 4 Press the OK button. ● The setting is stored and MF [SM] AF MF 4.9ft 3.3ft appears in red. ● To cancel Manual focus, press the Control panel OK button to display MF, then press to select AF. Press the OK button. ૽૽Focusing is not possible at ∞ : Although MF is displayed and the distance indicator at the top of the bar, focusing may not be possible at ∞. When Manual focus this occurs, press to reset the display. Note: ● When using the flash, shoot within the flash working range. ● Unless OFF is selected in All Reset, the setting will be canceled when the power is turned off (p.148). ● The distances shown on the screen are for reference only. ● The picture may go out of focus when the Zoom lever is pressed in the Manual focus mode. 120
