Setting the aperture-Aperture priority mode You can set the aperture manually in the Aperture priority mode. "ᮢ" appears beneath Down exposure the aperture indication when the A F8.0 1/800 0.0 aperture is too large, and "ᮡ" appears when the aperture is too small (see illustration on the right). Adjust the aperture to the optimum setting according to "ᮢ/ᮡ" on the display. [SM] Note: ● If you set the Mode dial to "A" when the ISO speed is set to AUTO, ISO speed is automatically set to 100. ● When the built-in flash is activated, you cannot set the shutter speed to 1/30 sec. or slower when the zoom lever is set to the maximum position of "W", and 1/200 sec. or slower when the zoom lever is set to the maximum position of "T". ● Unless OFF is selected in "ALL RESET", the setting will be canceled and reset to off when the power is turned off. Set the Mode dial to “A”.
Aperture setting is displayed in
green.

select the aperture.

If you set the Mode dial to “A” when the ISO speed is set to AUTO, ISO
speed is automatically set to 100.
When the built-in flash is activated, you cannot set the shutter speed to 1/30
sec. or slower when the zoom lever is set to the maximum position of “W”,
and 1/200 sec. or slower when the zoom lever is set to the maximum
position of “T”.
Unless OFF is selected in “ALL RESET”, the setting will be canceled and
reset to off when the power is turned off. (p.148)
