Useful Information Troubleshooting If you still have difficulties after following the instructions in this section, disconnect the base unit's AC adaptor, then reconnect the base unit's AC adaptor. Remove the batteries from the handset, and then insert the batteries into the handset again. General use Problem The unit does not work. I cannot hear a dial tone. I do not know how to erase "Missed call" from the display. Cause/solution L Make sure the batteries are installed correctly. Refer to the Quick Guide for details. L Fully charge the batteries. Refer to the Quick Guide for details. L Check the connections. Refer to the Quick Guide for details. L Unplug the base unit's AC adaptor to reset the unit. Reconnect the adaptor and try again. L The handset has not been registered to the base unit. Register the handset (page 40). L Confirm the Ethernet cable is properly connected. Refer to the Quick Guide for details. L Network settings may not be correct. Contact your administrator for further information. L Many installation issues can be resolved by resetting all the equipment. First, shut down your modem, router, hub, base unit, and computer. Then turn the devices back on one at a time in this order: modem, router, hub, base unit, computer. L If you cannot access Internet Web pages using your computer, check to see if your phone system is having connection issues in your area. Contact your administrator for further information. L There are unviewed missed calls remaining. View them and erase the message in the following way. Handset: 1 {CID} (left soft key) 2 Push the joystick down to search from the most recent call, or push the joystick up to search from the oldest call. I cannot remember the password for the Web user interface. Base unit: 1 {CID} (right soft key) 2 Press {V} to search from the most recent call, or press {^} to search from the oldest call.
