Recording onto CD-R/RW Discs Setting the START or START&STOP function for synchronized recording from an external source If the signal is going to be recorded from CD, MD or DAT player, it is possible to set the unit to perform synchronized start and stop. The setting is not changed. 5 Press the SET button. • The type of synchronized recording being performed is not indicated in the information display during actual recording. When recording is started, only the SYNCHRO indicator is shown in the display window until recording ends. • If the setting is set to "START&STOP", recording stops automatically when the signal from the source is stopped, a disc is changed, or if a track search is performed. • This function is very convenient for recording single songs from external digital CD or MD players. • This function is only for use with externally connected digital audio equipment. It cannot be used with the 3-CD changer. Note • When performing synchronized start recording from an external component, it is possible that part of the signal at the beginning of the first track will not be recorded. If this should occur, please perform manual recording.
