ASSEMBLY installing THE span-deck clamp See Figures 17. The Span-Deck clamp should be used when cutting mosaic tile. Place mosaic tile on the table. Put the hooks on the span- deck clamp under the table (back hook first) and as close to the cut as possible. Lock in place by pushing the lever down in the front and turning the lock in the back. If the clamp doesn't hold the tile firmly to the table or if the clamp is too tight (bowed in the middle), the clamp needs to be tightened or loosened. First tighten or loosen the back hook using the wing nut on top of the clamp. Turn the nut left or right as needed. NOTE: Also turn the wing nut lengthwise to keep from cutting the nut during operation. Next, tighten or loosen the front hook by spanning the locking lever. Turn the lever left or right as needed. CONNECTING THE garden hose See Figure 18. The water supply must come from a fresh water main. NEVER turn the water supply on high (fully opened). The water supply valve provides a convenient on/off for adjusting the water flow onto the cutting wheel. When used properly, the water supply valve adjusts the water flow to the perfect, optimal rate. Uncoil the garden hose. With the water main faucet turned completely off, attach the end of the garden hose to the water supply valve. Tighten by hand.
