Hangouts Hangouts is Google's instant messaging and audio and video chat service. You can use it to communicate, in real time, with other people who also use Hangouts on another Android tablet or phone or on a computer. Tip: Hangouts requires that you have a Google account. To set up your Google account on your device use Accounts settings. For more information, refer to "Accounts" on page 142. Messenger With Google Messenger, you can bring groups of friends together into a simple group conversation, putting everyone on the same page. When you get a new conversation in Messenger, Google+ sends an update to your device. To get started: 1. Login to your Google account. For more information, refer to "Gmail" on page 64. 2. From a Home screen, touch Messenger. The Messenger screen displays. Apps ➔ 3. Touch Add to invite friends to connect. You can invite anyone with a Google Account to become your friend in Google Hangouts, so you can chat with each other and view each other's online status. Apps ➔ Open Hangouts and Sign In 1. From a Home screen, touch Hangouts. If you are not signed in to a Google account, the Add a Google Account screen displays. Hangouts

Open Hangouts and Sign In

From a Home screen, touch
