Self-diagnosis Function (When letters/numbers appear in the display) When the self-diagnosis function is activated to prevent the player from malfunctioning, a five-character service number (e.g., C 13 00) with a combination of a letter and digits appears on the screen. In this case, check the following table. C:13:00 The subtitle cannot be turned off. , The DVD prohibits turning the subtitles off. The angles cannot be changed. , Multi-angles are not recorded on the DVD being played. , The DVD prohibits changing of the angles. The player does not operate properly. , When static electricity, etc., causes the player to operate abnormally, disconnect the rechargeable battery or AC power adaptor, leave the player for about 30 seconds, then try operating it again. First three characters of the service number Cause and/or corrective action C 13 The disc is dirty. , Clean the disc with a soft cloth (page 10). , The player cannot play the disc, etc. (page 9).
