Setting the General preferences Turning on or off the Beam Receive feature You can choose to turn off the Beam Receive feature. This prohibits anyone from beaming information to your CLIE handheld. It also results in a slight saving of battery power. By default, the Beam Receive is set to On. 1 Tap General from the drop-down list on the Preferences screen. The General Preferences screen is displayed. 2 Tap the arrow V next to Beam Receive and then select On or Off from the drop-down list. • On: Enables the Beam Receive feature. • Off: Disables the Beam Receive feature.
