Setup ♦ On the grid paper, demonstrate how to draw the x- and y-axes. ♦ Have students draw and label the x- and y-axes on their papers. Ask: What do we call the intersection of the x- and y-axes? (the origin) ♦ Have students label the origin on their graphs. (0,0) ♦ Review how to graph points on the coordinate grid. Begin at the origin.
