Learning the Basics Printing 29 ❖ If you have not already done so, set up Windows to work with the printer. HINT: You only need to set up the printer the first time you connect it. If you plan to use more than one printer or to replace your printer, you will need to set up Windows to run with the additional printer(s). Printing your work Once you have set up your printer and software correctly, printing a file from a Windows program is easy: 1 If your printer is not on, turn it on now. 2 Open the File menu of your Windows program and click Print. The program displays a Print dialog box. Sample Print dialog box 3 Specify the print parameters. For example, enter the range of pages and number of copies to print. 4 Click Print to print the file.

Printing your work
Once you have set up your printer and software correctly, printing
a file from a Windows program is easy:
