NOTE Holding the Shift key while the Turn Off computer Windows® dialog box is open, changes the Standby button to hibernate. Turning off or shutting down more quickly In addition to the method described above, you can turn off or shut down the computer by pressing the power button. To do so, you must preset the mode in Toshiba's Power Saver utility. 1 Open the Start menu, click Control Panel, then Performance and Maintenance. 2 Click the Toshiba Power Saver icon. 3 Click the Setup Action tab. The TOSHIBA Power Saver Properties window appears.
