Chapter 9 LEDs and Troubleshooting The following table describes the behavior of the lights on the PLA-407. Table 15 LIGHTS POWER PLA-407 Lights ICON COLOR STATU S Green On Blinking DESCRIPTION The PLA-407 is on and receiving power. The PLA-407 is starting up. It also indicates the PLA-407 is trying to connect with another device using the ENCRYPT function. The encryption process failed (120 seconds time out) Blinking at the same time as the HomePlug light indicates an unsuccessful connection if you have used the ENCRYPT button. HomePlug Green Amber Red Green/ Amber/ Red Off On Blinking The Power LED blinks when it is in Low Power mode. Refer to Section 1.1.5 on page 18 for details on this feature. The PLA-407 is not receiving power. The PLA-407 detects another Powerline adapter. The data transfer rate is greater than 40 Mbps. The PLA-407 detects another Powerline adapter. The data transfer rate is between 12~20 Mbps. The PLA-407 detects another Powerline adapter. The data transfer rate is between 0~12 Mbps. The PLA-407 is communicating with another Powerline adapter. Data is being transmitted and/or received. ETHERNET Green Off On Blinking Off Blinking at the same time as the POWER light indicates an unsuccessful connection if you have used the ENCRYPT button. The HomePlug port does not detect another Powerline adapter. The ETHERNET port is on and ready and the PLA-407 detects a device connected to it.
