CRUISE CONTROL Do not strike or damage the areas around the camera unit. Do not touch the camera lens or remove the screw located on the camera unit. Doing so could cause failure or malfunction. If the camera unit is damaged due to an accident, contact an INFINITI dealer. Do not attach a sticker (including transparent material) or install an accessory near the camera unit. This could cause failure or malfunction. Do not place reflective materials, such as a white paper or mirrors on the instrument panel. Reflection of the sunlight may adversely affect the camera unit's lane marker detection capability. WARNING Do not use the cruise control when driving under the following conditions: it is not possible to keep the vehicle at a set speed. in heavy traffic or in traffic that varies in speed. on winding or hilly roads. on slippery roads (rain, snow, ice, etc.). in very windy areas. Doing so could cause a loss of vehicle control and result in an accident. SSD0412 Lane Departure Warning (LDW) camera unit maintenance The LDW camera unit 1 for the LDW system is located inside the map light cover. To keep the LDW system operating properly, be sure to observe the following: Always keep the windshield clean. The sensing capability of the camera unit depends on the condition of the windshield. See "Cleaning interior" in the "7. Appearance and care" section for cleaning instruction. PRECAUTIONS ON CRUISE CONTROL If the cruise control system malfunctions, it cancels automatically. The SET indicator light on the meter panel then blinks to warn the driver. If the engine coolant temperature becomes excessively high, the cruise control system will be canceled automatically. 5-22 Starting and driving

The LDW camera unit

system is located inside the map light
cover.
To keep the LDW system operating prop-
erly, be sure to observe the following:
O
Always keep the windshield clean. The
sensing capability of the camera unit
depends on the condition of the wind-
shield. See “Cleaning interior” in the
“7. Appearance and care” section for
cleaning instruction.
O
Do not strike or damage the areas
around the camera unit. Do not touch

the camera unit is damaged due to an
accident, contact an INFINITI dealer.

Do not attach a sticker (including trans-
parent material) or install an accessory
near the camera unit. This could cause
failure or malfunction.
O
Do not place reflective materials, such
as a white paper or mirrors on the in-
strument panel. Reflection of the sun-
light may adversely affect the camera
unit’s lane marker detection capability.
WARNING
Do not use the cruise control when driving
under the following conditions:
O
it is not possible to keep the vehicle at a
set speed.
O
in heavy traffic or in traffic that varies in
speed.
O
on winding or hilly roads.
O
on slippery roads (rain, snow, ice, etc.).
O
in very windy areas.
