Jacking up vehicle and removing the damaged tire WARNING ¼ Never get under the vehicle while it is supported only by the jack. If it is necessary to work under the vehicle, support it with safety stands. ¼ Use only the jack provided with your vehicle to lift the vehicle. Do not use the jack provided with your vehicle on other vehicles. The jack is designed for lifting only your vehicle during a tire change. ¼ Use the correct jack-up points. Never use any other part of the vehicle for jack support. ¼ Never jack up the vehicle more than necessary. ¼ Never use blocks on or under the jack. ¼ Do not start or run the engine while vehicle is on the jack as it may cause In case of emergency SCE0434 1 Pull up the floor cover k as illustrated and 2 remove k the jack and tools. SCE0446A Removing wheel cap (if so equipped) 1 To remove the wheel cap, use the jack rod k as illustrated. 2 Apply the cloth k between the wheel cap and jack rod to prevent damaging. CAUTION Do not use your hands to pry off wheel caps or wheel covers. Doing so could result in personal injury. 6-5
