Press SEL 4 if necessary to display the life. The display willshow a reading oil such as: v v OIL LIFE 84% This is an estimate the oil's remaining useful of life. The system predicts remaining life using inputsfrom oil coolant temperature,engine rpm, and vehicle speed. It alerts you to change the oil onschedule consistent with a your vehicle's driving conditions. When remaining oil is 9% or less, the displaywill life show: CHANGE OIL SOON Then, when you start the vehicle, a tone will sound and the CHANGE OIL SOON message will display each time the vehicle is started.
