Removing the FlatTire and Installing the Spare Tire 1. Remove the wheel nut caps (you may need to use the if wheel wrenchto loosen and remove them, your fingers do not fit into this small area). 3. Position thejack and raise thejack head until itfits firmly into the notch in the vehicle's frame nearest the flat tire. Put the compact spare near you. tire 2. Then use the wheel wrench to loosen the wheel all nuts. Don't remove them yet. 5-26
