To check or replace the air filter: 1. Remove the screws that hold the cover on. NOTICE: If the air cleaner isoff, a backfire can cause a damaging engine fire. And, can easily get dirt into your engine, which will damage it. Always have theair cleaner in place when you're driving. 2. Lift off the cover. 3. Reinstall the ar cleaner filter and replace the i cover tightly. 6-19
