Thread the needle manually (without using the needle threader) When using special thread, thread with a thickness of 130/20 or less, the wing needle or the twin needle 1 which cannot be used with the needle threader, thread the needle as described below. Remove the needle. 1 • Refer to " Replacing the needle" (page 32). • When using the wing needle, the twin needle or thread that cannot be used with the needle threader, be sure to remove the needle, otherwise the machine may be damaged. • For more details, refer to " Loading the spool into the thread cassette" (page 19). Insert the thread cassette (with the extra spool 5 pin attached) into the thread cassette compartment. Use both hands to press down on both sides of the extra spool pin. Check that the thread cassette indicator is lit 2 up in green, and then insert the thread cassette into the thread cassette compartment. • For details, refer to 1 through 2 (page 22). X Pass the thread through the needle bar thread hook. 1 X At the same time that the thread cassette is inserted, the needle is threaded.
