2-17 I/O Fan Assembly The I/O fan assembly is removed for replacement only. To remove the I/O fan assembly: 1. Perform the preparation procedures. See "Preparation Procedures" earlier in this chapter. 2. Remove the top cover. See "Top Cover" earlier in this chapter.  3. Loosen the single thumbscrew securing the I/O fan assembly to the chassis .  4. Tilt the top of the fan assembly forward, then away from the chassis .  5. I/O Fan Assembly
The I/O fan assembly is removed for replacement only.
To remove the I/O fan assembly:
1.
Perform the preparation procedures. See
Preparation Procedures
earlier in this chapter.
2.
Remove the top cover. See
Top Cover
earlier in this chapter.
3.
Loosen the single thumbscrew securing the I/O fan assembly to the chassis
.
4.
Tilt the top of the fan assembly forward, then away from the chassis
.
5.
Disconnect the fan assembly power cable
.
