LED Power Fault Ready Identify Color Green Amber Green Blue Table 2-1. Enclosure LEDs Description ON = DSN-5000 series primary array is powered on. OFF = power is not being received. ON = a fault occurred with the power supply, fan, over temperature, internal module, or controllers. Refer to Error! Reference source not found. for information about possible causes. OFF = normal operation. ON = normal operation. OFF = normal while DSN-5000 series primary array is booting. After initialization, this status indicates a problem with the DSN-5000 series primary array. Blink = used to visually identify the enclosure. OFF = no intent of identification is being performed. Table 2-2. Drive Carrier Status LEDs LED LED 1 LED 2 LED3 Color Description Green This LED is reserved for future use. Green OFF = no drive is installed (drive slot is empty). ON = drive is online, ready for operation. Slow Flash = drive is being prepared for removal or is being rebuilt. Fast Flash = drive is being identified. Amber Fast Flash = drive failed and should be replaced (see Appendix A for information about installing or replacing drives) Green Flash = drive activity is occurring. Table 2-3. Failure Conditions that Activate the System Fault LED and Audio Alarm Failure Condition Description and Additional Information Power Supply Failure The System Fault LED will be illuminated, and the audible alarm will sound. Cooling Fan Failure The System Fault LED will be illuminated, and the audible alarm will sound. Battery Failure Over Temperature The System Fault LED will be illuminated, and the audible alarm will sound. A system restart is required after the battery has been replaced. The System Fault LED will be illuminated, and the audible alarm will sound. Software Failure The System Fault LED will be illuminated, and the audible alarm will sound.
