Caution: Do not force the cover off the scanner or lift the cover by the front. You may damage the cover. When scanning with the cover removed, cover any exposed areas of the document table to prevent interference from external light. Scanning Oversized Documents For thick documents or other materials, you can remove the document cover. Grasp the back of the document cover beside the hinges and lift it straight up. To reattach the document cover, insert the hinge pins into the holes and push straight down on the cover until it clicks into place. Scanner Basics Page 27

Scanning Oversized Documents
For thick documents or other materials, you can remove the
document cover. Grasp the back of the document cover
beside the hinges and lift it straight up.
To reattach the document cover, insert the hinge pins into the
holes and push straight down on the cover until it clicks into
place.
