Commands that Are Different from Epson Commands Printer Operation ESC Q3 Format: Deselect Printer Comments: Places the printer in an off line state until the printer is turned off and back on or until it receives a DC1 code. Vertical Motion ESC A Format: Set n/72-inch Line Spacing Comments: Sets the line spacing to n/72 of an inch. This value is stored in memory until the printer receives the ESC 2 command to put it into effect. The value of n must be from 0-85. ESC 2 Format: Select Programmable Line Spacing Comments: Executes the line spacing stored in memory by ESC A. If no ESC A command has been sent, ESC 2 sets the line spacing to 1/6 of an inch.
