The MP tray media presence sensor detects the presence of print media on the MP tray. The product attempts to form the next image before the DC controller detects a media absence because the paper path between the MP tray media-presence sensor and the registration roller is short. To prevent the photosensitive drums and the ITB from being contaminated with toner, the last-paper sensor detects the last-paper.
