Removal and Replacement Procedures - Convertible Minitower (CMT) Chassis 5. Pull up on the green hard drive drivelock mechanism 1 for that drive and slide the drive from the drive bay 2 . 6. Remove the four guide screws (two on each side) from the old drive and install them in the replacement drive. ✎ Extra guide screws are provided on the chassis. Hard drives use 6-32 standard screws. Optical drives use M3 metric screws. The HP-supplied metric screws are black. The HP-supplied standard screws used on hard drives are silver. 7. Store the removed drive in anti-static packaging. 8. Install the new drive by sliding it into the appropriate drive bay on the front of the chassis. The drivelock automatically secures the drive in the bay.
