b. If you are replacing an existing card, hold the card at each end, and carefully rock it back and forth until the connectors pull free from the socket. Be sure not to scrape the card against the other components. NOTE: Before removing an installed expansion card, disconnect any cables that may be attached to the expansion card. CAUTION: After removing an expansion card, you must replace it with a new card or expansion slot cover for proper cooling of internal components during operation. 7. To install a new expansion card, align the bracket on the expansion card with the open slot on the rear of the chassis and press the card straight into the expansion socket.
