Fan Speed Control
The Winbond W83627HF can be used to monitor several critical hardware parameters of the
system, including power supply voltages, fan speeds, and temperatures. Fan speed control is to
use the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technical knowledge to control the Fan's RPM.
The following shows the temperature range vs. output voltage for controlling the speed of all
system fans.

Chassis Intrusion
The SE7505VB2 server board supports a chassis security feature that detects if the chassis
cover is removed. For the chassis intrusion circuit to function, the chassis’ power supply must
be connected to AC power. The security feature uses a mechanical switch on the chassis that
attaches to the chassis intrusion connector. When the chassis cover is removed the mechanical
switch is in the closed position.
