Intel® Server Board SE7505VB2 BIOS 10.1.7 Security Menu To access this menu, select Security on the menu bar at the top of the screen. Main Advanced Security Power Boot System Exit Table 62 lists the options available on the Security menu. Enabling the Supervisor Password field requires a password for entering Setup. When the key is pressed, you are prompted for a password; press the ESC key to abort. This password can be set only if a supervisor password is entered. When the user has entered his or her name but the supervisor is not logged in, only the following information is accessible: • Supervisor password is set to Enabled. • User password is set to Enabled. • Set user password [press enter] to enter a user password. • Password on boot is set to Enabled/Disabled (whichever is in effect). This option is not allowed to change. The user password controls access to the system at boot. When the key is pressed, you are prompted for a password; press the ESC key to abort. The supervisor password must be set if a user password is to be used. NOTE: Entering Setup with a supervisor password provides full access to all BIOS Setup utility menus. Controls who can access diskette drives. Supervisor limits access to the diskette drive to the supervisor, who must enter a password. User allows access to the diskette drive by entering either the supervisor or the user password.
