4 4.11 Forming Spine Corners on Fold & Stapled Sets 4.11 Forming Spine Corners on Fold & Stapled Sets 4.11.1 Functional Overview Spine corner forming can be performed in combination with fold & staple when Folding Unit FD-504 is mounted on Saddle Stitcher SD-513. Setting item [Fold&Staple] (+ [Fore-edge Trimming]) Fold & Staple Setting [Spine Corner Forming] to be set to [ON] Details For "Spine Corner Forming Strength", select [Strong+], [Strong], [Normal], [Weak], or [Weak+]. Illustration NOTICE When Spine Corner Forming is specified, Crease is not available. dReference The number of sheets processed for spine corner forming equals the number of sheets processed for fold & staple. Please check paper information before use. See "Paper Information" (page 2-12) for details. NOTICE The multi half-folded and stapled sets will be delivered onto the bundle exit tray. Set up the bundle exit tray extension, and follow the preparation process before opening the stopper. Failing to carry out the preparation may lead to output sheets falling off the bundle exit tray. It could also cause the sensor to fail to detect the output full condition. NOTICE When increasing or further lowering the spine corner forming strength, you can adjust it to the appropriate setting.
